For a little more than the cost of a cup of coffee a month
The ACC Propositions Are Affordable
ACC Helps Keep Austin Affordable
ACC’s job training programs are the ticket to a secure, good-paying job that will help young local families stay here instead of moving elsewhere.
The No-Frills Plan
The original list of needs for bond funding was $1.9 billion. A broad, diverse citizens committee cut it to just below $500 million. Recognizing the public’s concerns about affordability, the ACC board of trustees cut it further to $386 million.
If Proposition 1 and 2 pass...
Property taxes will rise $3.33 a month on the average $200,000 Austin Home.
That's less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
If the M&O tax passes...
The tax cap increase will be phased in over the next six years.
Property taxes will increase by $1.66 a month next year and a total of five dollars by 2020. Seniors and disabled taxpayers would see an increase of 66 cents per month next year and a total of $2 by 2020.
